funny, true story in one sad little nutshell: i simply became OBSESSED with this video. every aspect, every angle...HAD to be studied. on more than one occasion, i found myself late to work because of watching it. damn you, kanye. now, not ONLY did the video become my obsession, but so did the accessory that that was slung quite elegantly over Stacy Dash's flawlessly tanned shoulder: the Louis Vuitton Ambre Cruise Tote. and living in phoenix, i knew attempting to find one would be nearly catastrophic. my poor husband at the time religiously sat in front of the computer in hopes of a REAL one on ebay. NO SUCH LUCK. so i decided to march my little tuchas right up into Louis one day, bound and hell bent determined to purchase my holy grail. and there she was...i believe the line goes: "Then i spent $400 bucks on this, just to be like n---- you ain't UP on this!"...only we spent $2500 (which happened to be our mortgage). Ahhh. the moral of the story? just listen to the song. two weeks later, i left the bag in my car for an hour...in 115 degree heat...and the damn thing melted. tsk tsk. jokes on me, i guess.

i had every intention for this blog to be dedicated to finding cheap shit and making it look fly. and it will be. but for my first post, i have to say my mini trip to l.a. was indeed a good one. i needed a break from phoenix... PRONTO. so off i went. During my adventures, i got the chance to chill with some rad people (N.D. HOLLA!!), do some soul searching, and of course, a bit of shopping. usually, i ravage the flea markets that invade my dad's dilapidated yet charming little 'hood. but instead, i decided to take a chance on melrose where anything FLY ain't necessarily CHEAP, but you never can tell. so here i was at KENDO, (the ill ladies only sneaker boutique) HELLA skeptical cuz they aint NEVER had shit i liked in my size (itty bitty). but surprisingly, i not only scored...but i got the adidas joints on the far left on SALE. 50 dolla made me holla. i am a happy lady. so KENDO, thank you for making my week. my stilettos will be jealous.
